Dan Dunmyer was named Chief Executive Officer in April 2011.  He joined Carolinas Specialty Hospital from Huntington, West Virginia where he spent three years as CEO of Cornerstone Hospital, a 28 bed LTAC.  Prior to his term there, he spent three years as CEO of Regency Hospital in Florence, South Carolina, a 40 bed LTAC.  During his time with both facilities, Dan is commended for improving financial performance while decreasing costs and turnover of employees.  One of Dan’s other areas of expertise is patient satisfaction where scores are consistently above the 90 percentile.  Dan has a B.A. from Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia and an MHA from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

Jeff Lynch was named the Director of Provider Relations on March 9, 2009.  Jeff has over 10 years experience in healthcare marketing and sales.  He comes to Carolinas Specialty Hospital after spending 4 years with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Rock Hill, South Carolina as the Director of Marketing Operations.  Jeff owned and operated a local nurse agency and is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician.
Teshia Davis was named the Director of Clinical Service on November 9, 2010.  Prior to this position, she was Director of Quality Management. Before coming to Carolinas Specialty Hospital, Teshia served as the Chief Clinical Officer for Kindred Hospital in Charleston.  In prior positions, Teshia served as a Legal Nurse Consultant for King and Spalding, LLC, and Director of Performance Improvement for Grady Health System.  A graduate of Keller Graduate School of Management with a Masters of Business Administration, Teshia has been a practicing nurse for 22 years.
Kerrie Burns was named the Director of Quality Management on March 7, 2011.   She has been employed at Carolinas Specialty Hospital since June 2006. Prior to this position, Kerrie worked at CSH as a Charge Nurse, Interim Nurse Manager and Interim Nurse Educator. Kerrie graduated from Nursing in 1986 from St. Lawrence College, Ontario Canada. She has been practicing as an RN in the United States for 11 years and has 25 years of nursing experience ranging from Oncology/Hematology, Cardiac/Telemetry, Medical/Surgical and Critical Care.
   
Doug Gallagher has been in the Human Resource field for over 10 years and has a wide range of Human Resource work experience.  Most recently, Doug was the HR Director in the NC Health and Human Service field for Developmental Disability and Mental Health services. His experience ranges from Employee Relations, Performance Management, Recruitment and HR Department Development.  He also serves on several Senior Leadership teams.
 
 
Noreen Kipp was named the Nurse Manager in January 2011.  She's been with CSH for 5 years.  Prior to this position, Noreen was a Charge Nurse for two years.  She became an RN in 2003 from Suffolk Community College in New York.  Her experience stems from years as a CNA and LPN in emergency rooms and critical care settings as well as medical/surgical telemetry monitoring.  She has 20 years experience in health care. 
David Bowers was named the Education Coordinator and Employee Health Nurse in January 2011.  Prior to this position, he was the Nurse Manager for four years.  David was hired as a staff nurse in 2002 at Carolinas Specialty Hospital and was a Charge Nurse for two years before accepting the Nurse Manager position.  Prior to joining Carolinas Specialty Hospital, David worked as an ICU nurse at CMC-Mercy.  He is a graduate of Winston Salem State University with a BS in Nursing.  He is pursuing a dual Masters of Health Administration and Masters of Business Administration at Pfeiffer University in Charlotte.  He has been a practicing nurse for 12 years.
Janet Combs is the Rehabilitation Manager for Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy and oversees the activities of the restorative aides.  Janet has been an occupational therapist for the past six years and has worked primarily in acute hospitals.  Janet has a BS in Occupational Therapy from Boston University. 
Patricia Farrington was named the Business Office Manager on November 8, 2002.  Prior to joining Carolinas Specialty Hospital, Patricia served as the Assistant Director for Presbyterian Hospital.  She is a graduate of North Carolina Central University with a Masters in Public Administration.
Gertrude Nelson was named the Materials Management Manager in August 2008.  Prior to joining Carolinas Specialty Hospital; Gertrude served as Coordinator, Buyer and Distribution Specialist/Supervisor at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama for 10 years.  Gertrude has a BS in Human Resources from Faulkner University and a Masters of Health Services Administration from St. Francis University.  Gertrude held various positions in the military until retiring in 2004.  She has worked in supply automation and management for 20 years.
Thelma Parr was named the Respiratory Therapy Manager in August, 2008.  She comes to Carolinas Specialty Hospital with 24 years experience and board certification.  Her areas of experience include critical, acute, neonatal, geriatric and home care as well as cancer research.  She has also been a clinical instructor.
Leigh-Anne Sessoms was named Infection Control Practitioner on February 10, 2008.  Prior to that, Leigh-Anne served as charge nurse at Carolinas Specialty Hospital for two years.  Leigh-Anne came to CSH after serving as a staff nurse supervisor in emergency and critical care departments.  She holds an Associates degree in nursing from Cabarrus College of Health Services and brings more than ten years of healthcare experience.
 

Andrea Webb was named the Health Information Manager for Carolinas Specialty Hospital in August, 2005 and has over 15 years experience. Prior to joining CSH, Andrea served as Utilization Review Coordinator at Broughton Hospital. She is a member of the National Health Information Management Association and holds a BS in her field from Western Carolina University.
